Last updated: August 12, 2026
Band Manifesto is a website operated by Polymath Adventures, LLC (collectively, “Band Manifesto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit bandmanifesto.com, subscribe to our communications, submit content, contact us, or otherwise interact with the website (collectively, the “Site”).
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site or provide personal information to us.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
We may collect information that you choose to provide, including:
- Your name and email address when you subscribe to a newsletter or mailing list;
- Your name, email address, and the contents of a message when you contact us;
- Your display name, website address, comment, or other content when you participate in Site discussions or submit material;
- Survey responses, contest entries, feedback, and other information you voluntarily provide; and
- Transaction-related information if we later offer products or services. Payment-card details would normally be collected directly by a third-party payment processor rather than by us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and the service providers that support it may automatically collect information such as:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate location derived from it;
- Browser type, device type, operating system, language, and device identifiers;
- Pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, and dates and times of visits;
- Interactions with emails, videos, audio players, advertisements, and other Site features; and
- Cookie identifiers and similar technical information.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from services that help us operate, measure, secure, promote, or monetize the Site. These may include web-hosting companies, analytics providers, email-delivery platforms, spam-prevention tools, embedded-media providers, advertising or affiliate networks, social-media platforms, and payment processors. The information we receive depends on the service and your settings with that provider.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may be used to:
- Provide essential Site functions and maintain security;
- Remember preferences;
- Understand traffic and how visitors use the Site;
- Enable embedded video, audio, social-media, or other third-party content; and
- Measure campaigns, attribute affiliate referrals, or deliver and evaluate advertising.
Where required by law, we ask for consent before using nonessential cookies or similar technologies. You may also be able to adjust your choices through a cookie banner or privacy-settings link on the Site and through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect Site functionality. Your choices generally apply to the browser and device on which you make them.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- Operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Site;
- Provide requested content, newsletters, products, services, or support;
- Respond to questions, submissions, and other communications;
- Publish and moderate comments or other user contributions;
- Analyze audience interests, Site performance, and the effectiveness of our content and promotions;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights and the rights of others;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- Carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent; performance of a contract or steps taken at your request; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and promoting the Site; and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Email Communications
If you subscribe to marketing emails, we may use your name and email address to send Band Manifesto news, articles, recommendations, and offers. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the link included in an email. We may retain limited information on a suppression list so that we can honor your request not to receive future marketing. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may send non-promotional messages related to a transaction, request, or important Site notice.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers: Vendors that provide hosting, security, analytics, email delivery, customer support, payment processing, content delivery, advertising support, and similar services;
- Embedded-content and advertising partners: Third parties whose videos, audio, social features, advertisements, or tracking technologies appear on the Site;
- Professional advisers: Lawyers, accountants, insurers, and other advisers as reasonably necessary;
- Authorities and other parties for legal or safety reasons: When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the Site;
- Parties to a business transaction: In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction; and
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
Information you post publicly, such as a comment and display name, may be visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines. Please do not submit information that you want to keep private.
6. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. Some analytics, advertising, affiliate, or social-media technologies may allow third parties to collect information from your browser or device. Depending on the technology and applicable law, this activity may be considered “selling,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising even when no money changes hands.
Where required, you may opt out through the cookie or privacy controls made available on the Site or by contacting us. We also honor legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, when required by applicable law and when we can reasonably detect the signal.
7. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Site may link to or embed content from third parties, including video and audio platforms, retailers, ticketing services, social networks, and other music-industry resources. Those parties may collect information directly from you and apply their own privacy policies. We do not control their privacy or security practices. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information or using their services.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Site, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type and sensitivity of the information, the reason it was collected, and legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely archive it.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You use the Site and transmit information at your own risk.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request that we:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information and provide access to it;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information;
- Provide a portable copy of certain information;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Allow you to withdraw consent for future processing;
- Opt you out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising; and
- Review an appeal if we deny a qualifying request.
To make a request, email contact@bandmanifesto.com with the subject line “Band Manifesto Privacy Request.” Please describe your request and the email address or other information associated with your interaction with us. We may need to verify your identity before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authority and identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
If you are in the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction that provides a right to complain, you may also contact your local data-protection authority.
11. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to legacy Do Not Track signals, the Site does not respond to them uniformly. As described above, we honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required. Third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
13. International Visitors
Band Manifesto is based in the United States. If you access the Site from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, we use lawful safeguards for international transfers.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may also provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Site after an updated policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the revised policy.
